You need a valid visa in order to enter and exit the Russian Federation if you do not carry a Russian passport. [Passport holders from certain states of the former Soviet Union are also exempt from Russian visa regulations].

Is my passport acceptable? |

It is acceptable if it has two clear pages available and is valid for at least 6 months after your proposed return date from your trip to Russia. |

What does a Visa look like? |
| |
It is a printed piece of adhesive paper and it takes up an entire page of your passport. It is numbered, it shows what type of visa it is, and how long it is valid for. It carries your name, date of birth, passport number and where you obtained your Visa Invitation.
